Two Ways to Make a Gift to United Way of South Sarasota County
Your contribution to our United Way will change lives. Your money works to provide people with the opportunities and resources they need to move forward and build new futures in a caring community. United Way of South Sarasota County fully believes in supporting the A.L.I.C.E. community. (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, yet Employed.) These people are all throughout south county and they need our help. When you donate to UWSSC, all of the funds stay in south county. That means your support will directly impact the vulnerable lives of those in need in Venice, Nokomis, North Port, Englewood, Osprey and Laurel.

PLANNED GIVING
Our Legacy Giving program is another way you can give back to help United Way continue our work in the community. Through a provision in your will or living trust you can make a gift to United Way of South Sarasota County in the form of cash, securities, real estate or personal property.

Your UWSSC Community funds are divided in two focus areas:

COMMUNITY INVESTMENTS

  • Health & Well Being of Adults and Children with Special Needs
  • Strengthening Individuals, Families & Children
  • Crisis Intervention for Children & Adults
  • Assisting the Elderly

COMMUNITY IMPACT

  • Education - to help achieve school readiness for preschool children through academic, productive and engaging programs that prepares them for Kindergarten and gives them the foundation for future learning successes.
  • Income - to promote financial stability, savings and independence through programs that promote financial literacy and the increased income potential an education or trade can bring.
  • Health - to help improve healthy lifestyles choices, decrease risky behaviors, and basic health care needs.
     

Assists us with our critical operational costs and funding of Community Impact Grants for the following organizations!
